Partnership Announcement: WIN joins SOA

What Is Next (WIN) is excited to announce that is has joined the STEMM Opportunity Alliance (SOA), a network of cross-sector partners- from education, to research, to workforce- committed to adding 20 million new STEM workers to the U.S. economy by 2050.

A recent report published by the National Science Board (2024) finds that “although the United States perform more research and development than any other country, the national’s global position is slipping, as [other] countries increase their activities.”

And it goes without saying that all of this starts much earlier in the pipeline. K-12 education plays a critical role in shaping how students learn about STEM.

This is precisely why WIN is partnering with SOA. By joining this consortium and also bringing in esteemed STEM leaders to WIN cohorts, students will see first hand what careers in STEM can look like.

If students can see the possibilities, they can make it a reality. One conversation can spark a new interest.
